Well i mentioned about a month ago that i was organising a new group (offline) for a casual get-together and get me out of the house for a bit of non boredom and make some new friends with the same hobby. Well i printed off the posters and i have 2 people i know interested and 3 people off my poster interested, so there's 5 for my new group!
Now i have to do another poster advising everyone of the start day and times and also get in touch with the room hire person (i.e. the manager of the library lol) to say we are going ahead with free room hire for the first month so i can get more people to come and then find out how much i have to charge them, as it will be at a reduced rate of £10 per hour! so if i can get 10 people interested, i'm happy lol.
Now here comes the hard bit - I now have to plan some activities for some of these as 2 have mentioned they are total beginners (grrr) so although i didnt want to teach anyone any techniques etc, i will have to get these two started off and hopefully they will start coming up with ideas of their own. But in the meantime, i have about a week to sort through ALL my stuff and get some packed up/bagged up including some tools which through publicity on West Hull community radio, i may try and see if i can bag some freebies for the group! Well if you dont ask you wont know lol. So if i dont show up on here for a while, you know why! and guess what Tracey - you're letting the side down a bit arn't you??? lol so much for reminding me to blog haha.
I am going to try and keep blogging about once a week, cos you never know, something may pop up and give me ideas! (the freebies did tonight lol)
OOps, i forgot to remind you hehe.. Hey mate, why not see if theres any more crafters in the area on twitter? i just discovered you can search all kinds of things, i only thought it was names you could look for.
