Well last week went ok actually, 1 out of the original 5 turned up! lol my cousin came and someone popped in on the day! So i had a class of 3 to start me off, got them to make a card each as we were all chatting inbetween, so not a bad first day!
Today i only had 1 haha but then i knew my cousin wasnt coming this week, so dont know what happened to Francis! Tracey's friend, whom i'm in contact with said she will probably turn up next week, so i may have a grand total of 4! lol Anyway i got Jean to physically make a complete card on her own this week as she got helped last week bless!
she cant always see things straight with the glasses she is wearing, so has to really concentrate inbetween gabbing lol. Ann from genealogy popped in as i was packing up early for a quick natter, which was nice! I love my friends at genealogy class, they are a lovely bunch, the eldest being Stan at 83! He is a laugh! there is always some innuendo from someone in the group that gets me and stan going haha! Sorted me out some badges at last, so will wear one tomorrow and my other one next tuesday!
I actually got paid today for the card that jean made (sorry for switching topics lol!) because i said that although the classes are free, i'm giving up my time to do this etc, any materials that i buy, create/make up into kits, provide etc will be charged, otherwise i will run out of stuff (that will take some months lol)!!! so each kit that i make up will be £1 and they will have to complete the card themselves. I've done the hard work for them by choosing, cutting out, providing any backing papers etc to get these kits ready, so i think it is a fair price! Every kit sold, half goes to charity and half goes to my craft fund for more stuff lol so i have put 50p into my charity box which i will be taking next week as i will be advertising my Charity of the Month for June! i am going to be raising money for breast cancer (which i normally would have done for October!) but seeing as this is going to be a strawberry fundraising day, It has to be held in June! So this is now in the planning stage! Tracey i hope you will come once i've got a date set? I will advertise this on the local radio along with my craft group, so come June i want lots of paying visitors lol.
